PASTOR ROBERT M. DIX,JR.
Reverend Robert M. Dix, Jr. is the proud, yet humble Pastor of the United Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. A native of Cleveland, Pastor Dix, was baptized at 7 years old at The Open Door Missionary Baptist Church in 1978 by the late Reverend Horace Rickerson. Serving in various ministries at ODMBC, he received his License to Preach the Gospel in 2000 and was ordained in 2007 under his pastor, Reverend Dr. Benjamin Franklin, Jr.
Pastor Dix was called to United Missionary Baptist Church on May 30, 2007. With “Building God’s Kingdom, One Soul at a Time” as our motto, Pastor Dix strongly believes that it is not by accident that United is in the heart of the inner city. “We’re in a good position, on fertile ground. We are the beckoning light in this community, leading the unsaved to and wayward back to Christ.” Under his leadership, United continues to expand numerically, financially, physically, and most of all Spiritually. With 35 need-based ministries in operation and being led by God, United has proven to be the Church that Christ is calling on in the 21 Century.
An anointed preacher and teacher, Pastor Dix has been called to serve various ministries locally and nationally as a guest preacher and teacher. He is also on staff as a Chapel Minister and Concierge at The Gaines Funeral Home in Cleveland, Ohio since 2003. From October 2004 to August 2006, he served as the Interim Pastor of the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of The United Pastors in Mission; The Baptist Minister’s Conference of Cleveland, Ohio and Vicinity; and The Baptist Pastors Council of Cleveland and Vicinity. Graduating from “The Greatest High School in America”, Warrensville Heights High School, in 1989, Pastor Dix enlisted into the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1998. He continued his education by attending Cuyahoga Community College, majoring in Business Administration. Burney appointed Pastor Dix to the position of Bailiff.
